Welcome to The Bear

Located at the heart of Bear Flat in the City of Bath, at The Bear you will find a warm welcome and friendly service.

We offer proper chef-led homecooking, a well stocked bar with local ales and ciders, original 50's & 60's retro furniture with Snowy, the well-loved life-sized polar bear and listed Bath landmark, presiding over the entrance.

CHILDREN There is always homecooked children's food available on each of our main menus and our family friendly Sunday lunch is served 12-4pm (or till we run out). Hungry or not, they can sit at their own mini vintage table and chairs and play with the wooden toys we provide. We also hold a Friday Kids Tea from 5-7pm where the under 12's can have a main meal, pudding and a drink for £5! We also welcome Mums and babies and have a baby changing station on site.

DOGS Are very welcome, all we ask is that you keep them near you and on a lead at all times, there is usually a drinking bowl or two on our terrace

DISABLED ACCESS We have a ramp to assist access into the pub (please call if this is needed) and toilet facilities on site.

WHAT ELSE?  Free WIFI; comfy sofas; large car park at the rear of the pub; covered smoking area at the back; sunny terrace; art exhibitions plus legendary monthly Quiz (first Sunday of each month).

Monday to Friday  12pm - 2.30pm, Saturday 12pm - 4pm

Sunday Lunch

A mixed menu of a roast lunch and lighter meals 12pm - 4pm (or till we run out)

Dinner

Monday - Friday from 6pm - 9.30pm, Saturday 5pm - 9.30pm, Sunday 5pm - 8.30pm
